Maedhawk Bypass devices only work for bikes that require a Bluetooth headset to activate the Carplay system. If Not charging: 1. Plug in the BYPASS device first, then plug in the charging cable. 2. The cable to the iPhone needs to be flipped over where it connects to the BYPASS Passthrough port. Important to verify the Bypass is showing connected on the Device Manager screen. It should be listed in the Connected Devices section. If so select it from the list and then select Connection Settings, verify the Role is set to Rider. TIPs: The Motorcycles Infotainment system must support a Bluetooth headset connection. Note that Harley motorcycles with the BOOM system may require the headset module from Harley Davidson. Wired carplay to wireless carplay requires WHIM module (WHIM needs to be activated). Why can't I get it to install and work properly? Couple of quick points. 1. Make sure the MAEDHawk is not paired to your phone and only the bike. 2. The MAEDHawk must be switched to rider role in the device manager screen to enable CarPlay. What bike models is the Bypass CarPlay adapter suitable for? Any motorcycle that requires a Bluetooth headset to be connected to activate CarPlay and come equipped with the wireless headset module. Such as Harley 2023 CVOs and 2024-2026 touring models with the 12.3 screen, Indian, Honda Gold Wing, etc. Can it convert wired CarPlay to wireless CarPlay? No, Maedhawk Bypass cannot be directly converted to wireless CarPlay. Wireless CarPlay only works with the 2023 CVOs and 2024-2026 touring models with the 12.3 screen. Can it be charged via USB-C port? Yes. If your phone doesn't have USB-C, you might need a lightning to USB-C or a USB-A to USB-C. it depends on how your phone is set up.
